Could you play an important role in selecting the next generation of Police Officers?

Become an Independent Lay Assessor

Are you able to demonstrate professionalism and strong interpersonal skills? Do you have a sound understanding of assessment principles and a keen sense of objectivity and consistency? Then we have the perfect opportunity for you.

As a Lay Assessor with Deloitte you will work alongside professional assessors to play a decision-making role selecting candidates for Police Officer roles.

No prior experience is required. You will undergo comprehensive training in the latest recruitment and selection methodology and gain up to date skills in assessing candidates against key values and competencies.

The role is flexible in terms of commitment. Opportunities to get involved are available across a variety of times, including during weekdays, evenings and at the weekend. We will consider your availability when allocating assessment sessions.

This is community focused for the benefit of society as a whole. In return you will be paid £200 per full day (shorter sessions are paid on a pro-rata basis).

We are seeking to recruit a diverse panel of Lay Assessors. We welcome applications from all. We would particularly welcome applications from people from ethnic minority groups, those aged under 40, people from the LGBTQ+ community and applicants who have a disability.
